Migrant Entrepreneurship

Breaking Barriers, Creating Opportunities

At iGen, we value the untapped potential of overseas-born individuals in Australia. Migrants often face employment barriers, receiving minimum wage and entry-level roles despite their qualifications and skills.

Post-settlement paths for migrants parallel those of young people, with challenges in education, employment, and training. We believe entrepreneurship is a solution, offering migrants the chance to create employment without qualification or language barriers.

In 2018, iGen and Enterprising Partnerships launched the Cultov8 Pre-Accelerator Program, supporting 300 first-generation Australians. In 2021, our Keeping it in the Family Program, a first in Australia, catered to migrant families in multiple languages, engaging over 60 participants.
